I'm Andrew Formale. I'm a musician, and recent college graduate of the Purchase College New Media program. I play guitar in hardcore bands Breathtaker and The Legacy Hour, and have a strong interest for technology, photography and video production. I'm really quiet and shy upon meeting me. Once you get to know me though, you won't shut me up. I plan on using this thing to write game reviews, overviews of shows I attend, random thoughts on life, and maybe post some photography here and there. Enjoy.

MY THOUGHTS ON E3 SO FAR…
I’m a game nerd, so I feel it is my duty to write about what I think about what I’ve seen/heard at E3 2010.
I watched the entire Xbox 360 conference today. First, I have to point out that the re-designed 360 console looks awesome. While it’s not AS slim as I thought it would be, it definitely looks sleeker and lighter. And I do like the fact that a 250 GB hard drive is BUILT IN, unlike the previous model. Wi-Fi is also built into the console which is a MAJOR fix. I hate the fact that a ($100) wireless adapter is needed to access Wi-Fi, unless you have an ethernet cable, which is what I use. Good work Microsoft!
Project Natal is now called “Kinect”. For those of you who don’t know, Kinect is a new device that is compatible with the 360 to allow the player to interact without a controller. In other words, interaction would be controlled from the motion of your body. Now, when I wanna play a video game, I wanna be lazy, sit on my couch with a controller, and not move. I don’t want to get up and move around. But to be fair, what Kinect is offering is pretty cool. New games, video chat with friends, and more. Not too shabby.
And….ESPN on Xbox 360…free of charge…probably a dudes dream come true.
The games I’m most excited about: Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Fallout: New Vegas, and the new Forza Motorsport with Kinect. I have no idea if the new Forza is going to be an update to FM3, or an all out new game. They didn’t clarify, which sucks.
I didn’t watch the Nintendo conference yet. I’ll get to that eventually…maybe even Sony’s.
